Student visa documents

1. Passport: Issued within the last 10 years; At least 2 empty pages; No remarks on the data page
2. 1 biometric photo: Not older than 6 months
3. Application form + declaration: Both signed
4. A4 copy of your passport data page: Fully readable
5. University admission letter: Plus scholarship or PhD letter, if you have one
6. Proof of language: English programme: TOEFL or IELTS; German programme: B1 with a good result or higher recommended
7. HSC certificate and mark sheets: Plus transcripts of earlier studies; Bangla → English or German translation
8. Motivation letter: Answers the embassy's questions
9. CV: With references, if possible
10. Travel health insurance: From arrival until enrolment; At least 3 months
11. Proof of money: Blocked account €11,904 (€992 a month); or a scholarship, or a formal obligation letter (§ 68)
12. Visa fee: €75, paid in taka; Not refunded if the visa is refused

Rules for the appointment day

• More than 15 minutes late = new appointment
• Only complete applications are accepted
• Bangla documents: English or German translation — only one, German preferred
• All copies must be fully readable
• Missing papers later: by email, post or at the gate with your 5-digit file number
• You cannot apply for a Schengen and a national visa at the same time
